Conor McGregor has issued a stern warning to Nate Diaz that he is all prepared for his rematch and his preparations are going fantastically well. The Irishman is scheduled to fight the American at UFC 202 on August 20. He is possessed to take his revenge for the loss he suffered at the hands of the Diaz at UFC 196.
The Notorious took some time off his fight preparations to share an image on Instagram with a caption that read:
‘Relaxing having a coffee before a great day of sparring.’
‘Preparation is going fantastic! My excitement for the circus is building.’
The UFC featherweight world champion was sitting along his pet dog in his Dublin home, while holding a cup of coffee.
The rematch was originally set for UFC 200 but the fight got postponed, as the 27-year-old pulled out of promotional duties, stating it will distract his fight preparations and announced his retirement in bizarre run of events. However, the differenced were soon resolved and the rematch was pushed further to UFC 202.
McGregor was favorite to beat the American in the first fight but after heavily dominating the 1st round, ran out of gas in the 2nd and got beaten via Submission (rear-naked choke).
The MMA superstar’s father Tony told why he believed his son was destined to be a fighter from the moment he was born.
“His fists were clenched coming out of the womb so he was ready to fight,’ his father said. ‘The midwife said, ‘This fella is going to be a boxer. It was an easy birth as Margaret (his mother)was only in labour for an hour, so Conor was in a hurry to make himself known.”
