Women’s UFC sensation Jessica Andrade will be fighting Joanne Calderwood in UFC 203 card in Cleveland, Ohio, on September 10. The Brazilian mixed martial artist enjoyed an impressive strawweight debut against the former title contender Jessica Penne in UFC 199 in June. Now she is up against a much tougher opponent Calderwood, who has lost just solitary fight in her professional MMA career so far.
However, the Jiu-Jitsu and Muay-Thai expert is extremely confident about winning her upcoming fight and is predicting a 1st round knockout.
Andrade said: “If I score a nice knockout, which is what I predict. I will challenge the champion for sure. I mean, why not? It’s about time I get that opportunity to fight for the belt, anyway.”
The 24-year-old fighter didn’t have a very successful run in the UFC’s bantamweight division. She won only 4 out of 7 fights, badly bruised and disappointed she was forced to drop down to 115 lbs weight class for more success.
Andrade believes sharing the Octagon ring with Jedrzejczyk for the world title is her dream and it will made possible after she demolishes Calderwood, this Saturday.
