Mayweather Denies Any Agreement has been reached with McGregor

Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather Jr. has distanced himself from the reports claiming the retired boxer and Conor ‘The Notorious’ McGregor have agreed to fight each other and even agreed on their purse.

However, Mayweather has completely rubbished those reports and issued his own statement saying:

“Although there has been several rumors circulating through media suggesting that I will have an upcoming fight, I’d like to set that record straight and state that there has been no deals made on my behalf regards to a bout with any fighter at this time.”

“I am happily retired and enjoying my life.”

“Rest assured that if any changes come about, I will be the first to let the world know.”

The 28-year-old UFC lightweight champion is currently in Las Vegas to settle the score with the Nevada Athletic Commission. Both McGregor and Nate Diaz were heavily fined due to their antics in UFC 202 press conference, where both were involved in bottle throwing incident.

The Irishman and Diaz were handed $150,000 and $50,000 fines respectively.
